About the Course

The course is designed for experienced microscopists and will consist of morning lectures followed by afternoon laboratory sessions on the microscopes. Numerous microscopy workstations will be available for hands on experiments in confocal imaging, including a Zeiss LSM 510 Meta System , 2 photon excited fluorescence microscopy, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy using the Zeiss FCS/LSM510 Combi system, Zeiss LSM 5Live with DUOSCAN laser manipulator, Zeiss Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence, second harmonic generation imaging, microinjection of fluorescence probes, Perkin Elmer spinning disk confocal, Image Analysis workstation, and a 3D graphics rendering workstation.

Participants are encouraged to contact CCAM staff in advance if they have particular specimens or experiments they would like to bring to the course. The course will run from 9 am to 5 pm each day with lunch provided from 12:00-1:00 pm. A full agenda and directions to UCHC will be sent to participants and posted on this website.
