This is a confocal and FCS system, mounted on a AxioVert 200M. This system has two avalanche photodiodes (APD) with ultimate sensitivity allowing for decreased laser power with delicate specimens. The APD's are highly efficient in the red wavelength range where fluorescent signal can be very weak.This system is equipped with the following laser lines:

Perkin Elmer UltraView
Spinning Disk Confocal is mounted on an inverted, Nikon TE2000 microscope. This system employs the Micropoint Mosaic system for photomanipulation techniques such as FRAP or Photoactivation. It is capable of exciting with the following laser lines:

Widefield Microscopes
Zeiss Axioplan 2
Wide-field fluorescence imaging system equipped with a Photometrics PXL-EEV37 high speed digital cooled CCD camera. Molecular Devices MetaMorph, for image acquisition, analysis and image processing. Basic filter sets include Rhodamine, FITC and DAPI. Equipped for DIC and phase contrast.
Zeiss Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF)
Imaging system including 100 mW argon laser with 458, 488 and 514 nm excitation, Axio Observer fully motorize microscope and Axiocam MRM camera controlled by AxioVision software.
Software and Additional Equipment
- ImarisSurpass 3-D rendering and analysis software from Bitplane.
- Molecular Devices' MetaMorph;software for analysis, image processing as well as acquisition and device control.
- Canon CanoScan 8400F flat bed scanner
- Hitachi's R-1200 Rapid Scan 60Mhz permanent magnet NMR Spectrometer
- Spex Fluorolog single excitation, dual emission spectrofluorimeter.
